Self Defense Classes
The Arizona Initiative is particularly concerned with public safety and individual empowerment. We regularly offer FREE Community Self Defense and Personal Safety Classes taught by our branch leader and black belt martial arts instructor, Daniel Goldfarb. These classes teach basic self defense, situational awareness and personal safety tips and are often held at Valley Martial Arts Academy in Scottsdale. Check out our Facebook page to see when our next class will be or contact us to schedule a class at your event or facility.
Homeless Outreach
The Arizona Initiative performs periodic distribution of water, food, clothing and essential items to the less fortunate and those experiencing homelessness in the Phoenix area. We are always looking for volunteers to assist with distributions and to donate items. Please contact us if you are interested in helping.
Meaningful Magic
Rook, a member of the AZI, performs a unique and interesting form of community outreach. He is the founder of Meaningful Magic, an organization which sets up age-appropriate magic shows free of charge for homeless shelters, senior centers, hospitals, schools that serve the underprivileged and at risk populations and organizations that raise awareness for humanitarian causes.

ABOUT
The Arizona Initiative
Here at The Arizona Initiative, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. We are involved in teaching community self defense and personal safety classes, crime prevention and helping those experiencing homelessness in the Phoenix area. AZI is part of The Initiative Collective; a grassroots group of volunteers with strong ties to the Real Life Superhero community. We have banded together across states – and countries – to help empower people in their communities by any creative means necessary.
